Highway may not pass the Bechdel test, but the movie is out and out a highly female empowering movie. The songs Heera and Pataka Guddi are the essence of Highway, and the Implosive Silence is sure to haunt you for long after the movie. The highlight of the movie is A R Rahman’s phenomenal music, which uplifts the characters and the journey. Highway is not for all people, not for all times it is not even about every. (When I’m gone.) Director: Imtiaz Ali, Running time: 133 minutes. The Rockstar of Highway (pun intended) is Alia Bhatt! Her uninhibited portrayal of Veera is what makes the film so powerful! Randeep Hooda has delivered his most matured and polished performance to date! Imtiaz Ali’s choice (a gamble?) to cast these actors in these dramatic roles has paid off. I could see that the majority of people at the location were headed to watch ' Shaadi Ke Side Effects ', but for some reason I couldn't get myself to buy a ticket for this show.
